I have developed a website that employs AJAX4 in .net4 in VS2010. It runs successfully in localhost. When deployed to server, the AJAX part of the website does not operate correctly (yes AJAXToolkit.dll is in bin). If i take the AJAX parts of pages out of website, everything works correctly, except a .ascx page I developed. Contacting the server they say they are running .net4 with AJAX 3.5, and can not upgrade to AJAX4 without affecting other customers.
1. IS there a fix that will allow me to run AJAX 4 on server or should I redo website in 3.5 AJAX, and if so do i then need to set the website to .net3.5?
Please note: the website employs WebService files (.asmx) if this affects the fix. Also, if it helps, there are javascript and jquery files employed by the website that run correctly.
