I am new to AJAX but have extensive asp.net development experience. I have a need for my website for a search text box control. Basically I am looking for a exact Google Search suggestion functionality to implement on my website. I have a search textbox wherein user types name of a city or a airport, i want a popup window below the search text box to start suggesting city or airport names, for e.g if user types letter S it should list all cities starting with S in popup window.
I heard this is achieved using AJAX control tool kit. I am very new to this technology so please suggest me how to download AJAX controls, how to implement AJAX autocomplete suggestion extender on client and server side and how to link the textbox with the database to retrieve city names.
I would appreciate if any one can take time to help me out, thanks in advance.
