Animation Issues

Does anyone know of any Known issues with animations?

1. I have an update panel with animation of fade in / out - works just fine
2. I have a modal popup with no animation - page works fine
3. I add animation to the modal popup - now update panel will NOT animate AND Gridview will NOT Page
4. Remove Modal Animation - Everything Works Fine Again
