Ajaxmethod not found on client side ( ashx ) file

Hi,

I have implemented a ajaxmethod in asp.net application. It works fine on .Net framework 4.0. 

Now i am trying to implement it in project running .Net framework 2.0. It is running fine on my local machine but not working on LIVE environment.

The file common.ashx and <pagename>.ashx showing message 

HTTP 404. The resource you are looking for (or one of its dependencies) could have been removed, had its name changed, or is temporarily unavailable. &nbsp;Please review the following URL and make sure that it is spelled correctly.

Can anybody know, why it is showing this message instead of ajaxmethod names and xmlhttprequest calls.
