module adds ajax multiple times to links

i have posted in dnn. my issue is there is ajax adding click event to a link and when i have multiple of the same module on the same page it adds the click event multiple times.
i need to add some kind of check to see if it is already added and then not add the click event?
or a way to enclose the script tags to only run once or be visible once?
