Update panel pros and cons

Hello,

I come across a really good blog on pros and cons in regards to an update panel sadly i cant remember the URL,

So i thought ill post a question on here and ask the eperts what there views are,

Reason i asked not only because i cant remember the URL but where i work we have a form which has roughly 5 update panels (and growing) on it!

So what are the pros and cons?
